About the event

Did you know that Solstice is turning 50 in 2024!   From humble beginnings, a birthday party for mime and artist Michael Gonzales, to the largest arts event in three counties, we’re celebrating our history, our future our legacy.

Join us for the "unofficial" Solstice Jubilee Kick-off Party at Legacy Art, 1230 State Street, 4-7 pm.  Meet members of the Solstice Board of Directors, the Solstice team, friends, sponsors, local artisans and artists, hosts and sponsors of this event Crispin Barrymore and Laela Duncan of Legacy Art Santa Barbara.

This is a great opportunity to connect, hear some special announcements and plans for 2024, share ideas, explore how you can participate in this beloved Santa Barbara celebration, and have fun while you support our community of artists.

Enjoy yummy appetizers, a no host bar, and music by Crispin Barrymore and friends.  Special performances, presentations by Executive Director Penny Little, Board Members Justin Gunn, Amisha Zuber, and more!

In addition to other important announcement, Solstice will be announcing the initiation of the Solstice Legacy Project.  The Legacy Project is the long term plan to become a year-round arts hub in our community, to support our celebration artists and preserve their expertise, and to document the history of .  The Historical Museum will present a Solstice Exhibition in June 2024 as part of the Solstice 50th Anniversary Celebration.
